Registration, Login and Post Submission
The Post & User tab in a form’s settings connects a form to WordPress users and posts. It can register users, log them in, update profiles, send password reset links, and create posts from submissions.
User actions
Open the form’s Settings › Post & User and choose a User action:
| User action | What the form does |
|---|---|
| None | Nothing. |
| Register a new user | Creates a WordPress account. |
| Log the user in | A login form. |
| Update the logged-in user | A profile form. |
| Send a password reset link | A forgot password form. |
Then map the fields:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Username field | Register: empty creates one from the email. Login / reset: the field with the username or email. |
| Email field | The user’s email. |
| Password field | Register: empty sends the user a link to set a password. |
| First name / Last name / Display name / Website / Biography | Profile fields. |
| User meta | Save other answers as user meta: click Add meta field and enter the meta_key. |
Registration options
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Role | The new user’s role. A User Role field on the form wins. |
| Ask the user to confirm the email address | The account is active only after they click the link in an email. |
| An admin approves new accounts | New accounts wait for approval. Approve them from the entry screen. |
| Log the new user in | Logs them in right after registering. |
| WordPress new-user emails | None, To the admin, To the user or Both. |
Login options
- Keep the user logged in (“remember me”)

WordPress fields
Pro adds a WordPress group to the Add Fields panel:
- User Role: lets visitors choose an account type from the Roles visitors can choose. Show it as radio buttons or a dropdown. Roles that can manage the site are never offered.
- Post Terms: lets visitors choose categories, tags or terms of any Taxonomy for the new post. Allow one or several terms, shown as a dropdown or as checkboxes / radio buttons.
The WordPress panel on entries
Each entry shows a WordPress panel with the user that was created (and whether the email is confirmed or the account is waiting for approval, with an Approve button) and the post that was created, with a View link.
Templates for User registration, Login form, Edit profile and Guest post submission are under Choose a Template › Registration.
