Mailchimp
FormGlut can add the people who submit a form to a Mailchimp audience, with their name, tags and optional double opt-in.
1. Connect Mailchimp
- In Mailchimp, go to Profile › Extras › API keys and click Create A Key.
- In WordPress, go to FormGlut › Global Settings › Integrations › Mailchimp.
- Paste the API key and click Save settings.
2. Turn it on for a form
- Open the form’s Settings › Mailchimp.
- Turn on Add people to a Mailchimp audience.
- Pick the Audience. Click Refresh if a new audience is missing.
- Map the fields:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email field | Required. Nobody is added without it. |
| First name field / Last name field | A Name field works too: it is split into first and last name. |
| Tags | Comma-separated, e.g. website, newsletter. |
| Double opt-in | Mailchimp emails new people a link to confirm before they are subscribed. |
| Only when this field is filled | For example a GDPR or Subscribe me checkbox. Leave empty to add everyone. |
- Click Save settings.
People who are already in the audience are updated, not added twice.
Privacy tip: For newsletter sign-ups, add a consent checkbox and select it in Only when this field is filled, so only people who agree are subscribed.
