Webhooks, Zapier, Make and n8n
Webhook feed
The Pro Webhook feed gives you full control over the request.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| URL | Where to send the entry. |
| Method | The HTTP method, e.g. POST. |
| Body format | JSON or Form (x-www-form-urlencoded). |
| Headers | One per line: Name: value. Smart tags work. |
| Fields to send | Key = the name in the request. Empty sends every answer by label, plus entry details. |
| Or a JSON template | Overrides the fields above. Smart tags are JSON-escaped, e.g. {"email": "{field:email}"}. |
Zapier, Make, n8n and other automation apps
These apps can subscribe to new entries through FormGlut’s API.
- Go to Global Settings › Automation apps.
- Click Create API key and copy it. It is shown only once. Automation apps send it in the
X-FormGlut-Keyheader. Making a new key stops the old one. - In your automation app, use the endpoints listed on the screen:
| Endpoint | Use |
|---|---|
Subscribe (POST {url, form_id}) / list (GET) | Start sending new entries to a URL. |
Unsubscribe (DELETE) | Stop. |
Sample entries (GET ?form_id=) | Test data for setting up a zap or scenario. |
Forms (GET) | The list of forms. |
Make and n8n: use an HTTP module to subscribe once with your webhook URL. New entries are then posted to it as flat JSON. For a single URL without subscribing, add a Webhook feed to the form instead.
The Automation apps screen lists the active subscriptions (App, Form, Since). Click Remove to stop one.
Uncanny Automator
When Uncanny Automator is active, FormGlut adds the trigger A visitor submits a form. Choose the Form in the recipe and use the answers in the recipe’s actions.
