Smart Tags
Smart tags are placeholders that FormGlut replaces with real values when a form is submitted, such as the visitor’s name or the entry number.
Where you can use them
- Confirmation messages and redirect addresses
- Notification and confirmation emails (recipients, subject, message)
- Slack, Discord, Telegram and Teams messages
- The global email subject and success message
- The Card Payment description sent to Stripe
Insert a tag
Next to a supported setting, click { } Smart tags. Click a tag to add it to the box, or use the copy icon to copy it.
General tags
| Tag | Replaced with |
|---|---|
{all_fields} | A table of every answer (emails and messages only). |
{form_name} | The form’s name. |
{form_id} | The form’s ID. |
{entry_id} | The entry’s ID. |
{site_name} | Your site’s title. |
{site_url} | Your site’s address. |
{admin_email} | The admin email. |
{date} | The submission date. |
{time} | The submission time. |
{ip} | The visitor’s IP address. |
{user_email} | The logged-in user’s email. |
{user_name} | The logged-in user’s name. |
Field tags
{field:FIELD_ID} is replaced with the answer to that field, for example {field:f1a2b3}. The Smart tags list shows a tag for every field in the form, or copy it from the ID chip in the field’s options.
Choice fields show the choice label, not the stored value, so emails and messages are easy to read.
Tags in redirect addresses
In redirect URLs and query strings, values are URL-encoded automatically, so spaces and special characters are safe. {all_fields} is not available there.
