Webhooks and Chat Alerts

FormGlut can send each new entry to other apps: a webhook for automation tools, and alerts in Slack, Discord, Telegram and Microsoft Teams. Set them in the form’s Settings › Integrations.

Webhook (Zapier, Make, n8n and others)

  1. Create a webhook trigger in your automation tool and copy its URL.
  2. Turn on Send entries to a webhook.
  3. Paste the Webhook URL.
  4. Choose the Format: JSON or Form data.
  5. Click Save settings and submit a test entry.

Each submission sends the form name, entry ID, time, page address and the answers.

Slack

  1. In Slack, create an Incoming Webhook for the channel you want and copy its URL.
  2. Turn on Post new entries to Slack and paste the Slack webhook URL (https://hooks.slack.com/services/…).
  3. Optional: write a Slack message with smart tags. Empty sends the form name and all fields.

Discord

  1. In Discord, go to Server Settings › Integrations › Webhooks › New Webhook and copy its URL.
  2. Turn on Post new entries to Discord and paste the Discord webhook URL.
  3. Optional: write a Discord message. Empty sends the form name and all fields.

Mentions such as @everyone are never triggered. If the address does not look like a Discord webhook, it is cleared when you save.

Telegram

  1. Create a bot with @BotFather in Telegram and copy its token.
  2. Add the bot to your group or channel.
  3. Turn on Send new entries to Telegram.
  4. Paste the Bot token and the Chat ID: a number such as -1001234567890, or @channelname for a public channel.
  5. Optional: write a Telegram message. Empty sends the form name and all fields.

Microsoft Teams

  1. In the Teams channel, add the Workflows template Post to a channel when a webhook request is received and copy its URL.
  2. Turn on Post new entries to Microsoft Teams and paste the Teams webhook URL.
  3. Optional: write a Teams message. Empty sends the form name and all fields.

Checking that it works

Go to FormGlut › Data & Logs › API log and turn on Log API calls. Each outgoing request is listed with its status. Secrets such as bot tokens are never stored in the log.
