Form Settings Overview
Each form has its own settings: what happens after submit, who gets emails, who may submit, spam checks, integrations and more.
Open a form’s settings
- In the form editor, click Settings in the header, or
- On All Forms, click Settings in the form’s row.
The settings are split into tabs on the left. Change what you need, then click Save settings. If you leave with unsaved changes, your browser asks you to confirm.
The tabs
| Tab | What it controls |
|---|---|
| General | Show the form title, add a CSS class to the form. |
| Confirmation | The message or redirect after a successful submit. See Confirmation Messages and Redirects. |
| Notifications | The admin email and the visitor’s confirmation email. See Email Notifications. |
| Restrictions | Login required, entry limits, open and close dates, one entry per IP. See Form Restrictions. |
| Spam & privacy | Honeypot, Akismet, Stop Forum Spam, blocked words, rate limits and what data is kept. See Spam Protection. |
| Layout & CSS | Form width, alignment, custom CSS and JavaScript after submit. |
| Multi-step | Progress indicator and step checks. See Columns and Multi-Step Forms. |

| User registration | Create a WordPress account from the form. See User Registration. |
| Save progress | Keep answers on the visitor’s device. See Save Progress. |
| Share & gate | A share page and gated content. See Share Page and Gated Content. |
| Entries & analytics | Whether form views are counted. |
General
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show form title | Prints the form title above the fields. |
| Form CSS class | Extra class(es) added to the form wrapper, e.g. my-form. |
Layout & CSS
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Form width | For example 640px, 100% or 40rem. Empty uses the default. |
| Form alignment | Left, Center or Right. |
| JavaScript after submit | Runs in the browser after a successful submission, for example to track a conversion. event.detail.entryId holds the entry ID. Only administrators who may add scripts can save this. |
| Custom CSS | CSS for this form. Use {form} for the form’s wrapper, e.g. {form} .formglut-label { color: red; }. |
Entries & analytics
Count form views counts how many times the form is shown, so All Forms can show views and the conversion rate. Views are counted by the visitor’s browser, so pages served from a cache are counted correctly.
Defaults from Global Settings
Many settings fall back to FormGlut › Global Settings when you leave them empty, for example the notification address, sender, subject, and success and error messages. Set them once there and change them per form only when needed.
