Frequently Asked Questions

Is FormGlut really free?

Yes. Multi-step forms, conditional logic, file uploads, calculations, Stripe payments and every other feature in this documentation are in the free plugin. FormGlut Pro is an optional add-on with more fields, gateways and integrations.

How do I add a form to a page?

Use the shortcode [formglut id="X"], where X is your form ID, or add the FormGlut block or Elementor widget. See Add a Form to Your Site.

My form doesn’t show on the page. Why?

Check that the form’s status is Active on All Forms. Draft forms show nothing. Closed forms, scheduled forms outside their dates, and forms that reached their entry limit show a message instead.

I don’t receive notification emails.

Go to Data & Logs › Email log, turn the log on and click Send a test email. If it fails, your server cannot send email: install an SMTP plugin. Also check the Send to address in the form’s Settings › Notifications and your spam folder.

Can I move my forms to another site?

Yes. Use Data & Logs › Export forms to download a file, with or without entries, and Import forms on the other site.

Can I bring my forms from another form plugin?

Yes. Use Import › From another form plugin… on All Forms, or Data & Logs › Migration. See Migrate from Other Form Plugins.

Does FormGlut work with any theme and page builder?

Yes. It works with block themes, classic themes, Elementor and any page builder that supports shortcodes.

Will FormGlut slow down my site?

No. FormGlut loads its scripts and styles only on pages that contain a form.

Can I accept payments?

Yes, with Stripe. See Stripe Payments.

Can I hide a download until someone fills in a form?

Yes. Put the content between [formglut_gate form="X" days="30"] and [/formglut_gate]. See Share Page and Gated Content.

Can a form create a WordPress user account?

Yes. See User Registration. New users never get an administrator role, and passwords are never stored in entries.

Where does “Save progress” keep the answers?

Only in the visitor’s own browser, for up to 30 days. Nothing is sent to your site until the form is submitted. Passwords, files, card details and signatures are never kept.

Can I stop collecting IP addresses?

Yes. Turn off Store IP address and browser in the form’s Settings › Spam & privacy. You can also set Delete entries after (days) to remove old entries automatically.

Does FormGlut have form templates?

Yes, 25 free templates with a live preview on desktop, tablet and mobile. Go to All Forms › Add New › Choose a Template. See Form Templates.

How do I get help?

Go to Data & Logs › System status, click Copy for support, and include the result when you contact AppGlut support.
